can't send outlook email via aol

Can't send email using outlook via aol. Using test account settings get the
message "unable to send test message, please verify email address field". Can
someone advise how to do this. Thanks

Without an error message, it is anybody's guess about what is going wrong.
However, in Mozilla Thunderbird, I have configured for: 'smtp.aol.com:587'
w/TLS. Not the "Use TLS if it works", but the "Use TLS" setting.
