Can't set "Table Grid" style to 10 point font in Word 2002

In Word 2002 SP2, a bug prevents the customer from
setting the "Table Grid" style to any 10 point font. Any
other font size works, but Word ignores the entry of "10"
in the font size.

Try changing the printer or delete and reinstall the printer driver.

Terry (Word MVP):

Selecting a different printer makes no difference.
Other technical writers confirm this happens on their
machines as well. You simply cannot select a 10-point
font when trying to modify Word 2002's "Table Grid"
style. (Well, it acts like it accepts it, but it does not
apply it and it does not show up in the style specs.)

Unfortunately, I don't have XP at home. But I'll take a look on an XP
machine at work tomorrow.

This is correct. Unfortunately it is a bug and the only workaround is
to use a character style for the font formatting or set your Normal
style to 10 pts.

Perhaps this is a dumb question, but is there any process
for reporting bug this to Microsoft?

Well Yes: but they do know about this and it is extremely unlikely to be
fixed now.
