Creating a function and then toggling the display works just fine in
new workbook/sheet.
I have a large sheet that ONLY displays the function and never th
results.
I am stripping off the last (4) digits of a mixed format zip code fiel
using the function *=RIGHT(-cell ref-, 4)* It works just everywher
except this particular sheet.
I suspect it had something to do with what happened yesterday. I ha
this sheet open. Failing to realize it was open, I opened anothe
instance of Excel and the same sheet. It announced that it would be i
'read only' mode, and I accepted that. Then I did a bonehead thing.
spent several hours making masive changes to the data! Didn't realiz
it til I tried to save it, and it wouldn't let me. I marked the entir
contents of the sheet and copied it. Then I closed Excel, both copies.
The I started Excel, and 'pasted' the copied data on a new sheet.
Everything seemed fine until this.
Any suggestions what might be happening?
