Can't turn Project Guide On

Using Project 2007 Enterprise.

More noob setup/getting started issues.

I don't have a Project Guide icon on my toolbar. No sweat - tools, options,
UI, <stop>... The 'Display Project Guide' checkbox is empty and grayed out
so I can't select it..

I know I don't need it, but I'd like to play with it. I've searched here
and google, no joy on the topic. Any help is appreciated.

More questions to follow.

If you select to do a standard install of Project 2007, the guide doesn't
work. If you do a customized install and select the proper options, it does.
I have not checked to see which option(s) did the trick; I just selected
pretty much every option and the guide is back on.

Thanks for updating on how to resolve it! I had the same issue and couldn't
figure out why.
