Can't type in internet browser or outlook

Hi there, I am having some problems with typing in my
internet browser. When I type in word or other documents
it is fine, but when I go to the internet or outlook my
keyboard just doesn't work. No text shows up in the boxes
to type in.
I have run some anti-virus software and spyware software
but to no avail. I have also checked the connections to
the keyboard etc.

Has anyone ever encountered this before and if so, how do
I fix it?
