can't unhide rows?

using excel 2000.
have several rows hiden and need to unhide but format rows
unhide wont when I highlight cells above and below hidden
range. Can unhide 1 by 1 but should be able to unhide all.

The rows may not be hidden, the rows are probably really small in
terms of heighth. Try formatting the row heighth. The worksheet may
be protected, too.
