Can't upload Documents in PWA

CBG-PMCC

When I try to upload a document in PWA
a password screen opens up.

All it has is:
'Connect to Server.pmcc.lcl' at the top
'Connecting to Server'
'User ID'
'Password'

It will not accept any of
my password/ID combinations (I have administrator rights).

After trying several attempts I will get a screen that
says:
'Microsoft Internet Explorer'
'You are not authorized to view this page......'
'Contact the Website Administrator....'

Our network administrator has tried everything and we can
not determine why we do not have authority to upload
documents

It sounds like you're using Project Server authentication rather than
Windows Auth in Project Server. WSS expects an windows account.

Thank you...but no...
We are using Window Auth. It is something other than that.
I've noticed others are having the same problem.
Look at documents with the subject. 'Access Documents'
and documents by Steve W. and Vivek.

It appears to be related to authorities for Sharepoint,
Project Server and possibly Windows Server are not in
sync; but dispite numerous attempt we have not been able
to debug the problem.

Although I do not have an answer to your problem I am wondering if you have
all of the servers in the same domain? Also what are your settings for
Security in IE? Is your Security setting for User Authentication-->Logon to
'Automatic logon with username and password' or is it set to 'Prompt for user
name and password'?

Don't know if this will help or is the answer to your problem or not...good
luck!

Thanks...you're response is where we think the problem is.
- All our MS Project/Sharepoint servers are in the same
domain.
- our Project Server security is set to 'Automatic logon
with username and password'
- I will go back and see if editing the IE Security
Setting make a difference.

Go into PWA as an admin and run the synchronization programs for
administrators and for each site under Manage Windows SharePoint Services >

We have the same problem. We succesfully resolved it after enabling
anonimous access to default WEB site and via SharePoint Administrator.
