Can't use personal contacts - Outlook 2003

Mike Webb

Running Outlook 2003 on WinXP SP3 in a SBS 2003 Premium SP2 environment.
===========
Rebuilt my server last week from scratch. Manually re-created user and
computer accounts.

Had to re-create email profiles in everyone's PC so email would 'flow'
again.

I am able to see my personal contacts, but can't see them when I go into OAB
Contacts. I get a message: "The address list could not be displayed. The
Contacts folder associated with this address list could not be opened; it
may have been moved or deleted, or you do not have permissions. ...."

I can see .pst and .ost files on my computer, but no .pab files. What is
the proper way to "fix" this?

TIA,

Did you look at the very useful Microsoft Knowledgebase? A five second
search using the string "address list could not be displayed" produced this
as the very first entry:

I did try the Outlook 2003 Solution Center. I used "contacts" and "address
book" as search criteria. After several pages of results for each it didn't
seem like I had the right term. I couldn't think of any other term more
direct than those.
Thanks for the link.
