Can't use snapshot viewer

M

Margaret Bartley

Office 2003 on Windows XP:

I need to email Access reports to others in this office, so I installed the
Snapshot Viewer on the machines in this office. On one machine, however, I
was prompted by Windows Installer for the original Office 2003 CDs.

This is a corporate environment, and I'm sure Office was installed from a
network site that I may or may not have permission to access. The network
administrator is under contract, and costs a lot of money to use. I don't
have her number. I'll have to make an appointment with the owner, and
convince him to call her. I would have a difficult time explaining to him
why it is necessary, since it loaded fine on the other three machines here.

My question is how to do handle this one machine that I cannot post the
Snapshot viewer on?

I tried posting this to the Windows group, but got no help there.

If this is not the correct newsgroup to post my question on, please let me
know where I should post it.

Did you attempt the install from the download directly from Microsoft's
site?

Perhaps try contacting the Network Admin via EMail. This should lower the
cost of the incident.

A last resort would be to borrow a legal copy of Office 2003 and insert that
CD into the workstation.
