Can't view any dropdown menus in Word, Excel, etc.

When I'm in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. i can't see the dropdown menus when
I click on the main toolbar (File, Edit, View, etc.). Nor can I view the
menu when I right-click on the document. All that shows up is a faint
outline of the menu box.

Any idea how to solve this????
