capitalization problems

There is a known problem with capitalization, but no way to fix it, other
than manually. I type Q. and A. followed by a word. Example: Q. Now.
When I type this the word "now" does not capitalize unless I do it manually
with the shift key. I have tried every souce imagineable to find a way to
remedy this, but have been told this is a known problem and there is nothing
to fix it. I have used other programs (WordPerfect) and this problem does
not exist. There is automatic capitalization after a period. Does Microsoft
Word ever plan to repair this? I have asked repeatedly and cannot get an
answer. It is a very frustrating situation and time consuming to have to
manually capitalize each sentence I type. Please advise me if this is one of
the many new features coming with the new office program due to be released
next year? I suggest rather than adding a lot of features that only few
people can make use of, you add a repair for this. I have used Word from 97
on up and it exists in all of the programs. A reply would be most appreciated

Hi, Me,

Microsoft may look at the suggestions with the most votes, but otherwise,
you aren't like to get a response directly from Microsoft, as this is a peer
support forum.

That said, have you checked in Tools | AutoCorrect and removed the rule that
after a. and q. a word should not be capitalized?

Give it a try.
