Capture Data / Submit Button

Carl Jarvis

Hello

I would like to be able to design a form on my website where visitors (if
they wanted to) could fill in information (name, address, tel no etc) into a
form I design and at the bottom of the page click a 'SUBMIT INFO' button
which then e-mails their inputs to me.

Designing the form should be no problem to me, but I am not sure about how /
what to do with the button so it emails me something like :-

Name : whatever the visitor entered
Address : whatever the visitor entered
Tel No : whatever the visitor entered

etc

Hopefully this is clear and hopefully someone will be able to help?

Many thanks,

Carl.

I think you right click in the form, and go to "form properties", then, in
the box that says "email", type your email address. You should also delete
in information in the "file name" box.

I hope this helps!

I have tried that and when I click submit I get a 'Cannot Find Server' error
with a URL of

C:\Documents and Settings\My Details\Desktop\--WEBBOT-SELF--

I would like this form / HTM page to sit on a users PC's desktop, so they
can submit at any time (ie I do not want it to be an active webpage).

Any ideas?

Carl.

Thats wierd,
can I have the URL to you website?
And don't forget, if your webpage is not on the the web, it will say that.
It will say that everytime you preview it in Microsoft FrontPage.

Tony.

Sorry Tony

I have thought about this and I want to distribute a HTM page that is a form
that sits on the users desktop (ideally one file eg INPUT.HTM) and whenever
they need to they fill it in they do and click submit and then it is sent to
me.

I have done some reading on the MS website and this sounds tricky, but
someone must know how to do it?
