carry a control value from one DB to another DB

Hi everyone,

I am using 97 Access. I have a form with a control value (selected by
user). I used the shell function to open another access form in a different
database. I need to carry the control value (see above)from the existing
form to the new form. I have no clue how to refer to the new form from the
existing database. If it is impossible to do in Access, can I use the
control C and control V function to copy and paste the value. Please help
with the syntax of control C and V.
