Carrying Data Forward - Unintentionally

We have an Access application that we've been using for years. The back-end
is 2.0 (I know, I will be converting later this month). The front-end is
installed on each user's local drive. After years of use, one user who has an
Access 2003 front-end db started experiencing carryover of data from one
record to the next in a particular form. On reboot the next day, the same
thing happened throughout the day. It was never set up to do this, and in
this case, is more of an annoyance than a help. What could have caused this
to happen?
I did a repair/compact on his database this morning and after a quick test
it appears to be ok for now. Any ideas on how this occurred in case it
happens again?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Thanks Gina. I'll definitely take a look at that if/when the problem starts
up again today. Appreciate your help!

I just checked his workstation and it was already off. It must be turned off
as a default?
Thanks again.
