Cascading updates/deletes

Using Access 2000. I have a requisition form and a travel
authorization form set up for entering appropriate
information. If I change the requisition No. or the
travel authorization number, the line items in the
subforms disappear. I have my relationships set up
properly, and I have selected cascading updates and
cascading deletes. I have verified that the appropriate
relationship is established between the forms and the
subforms. Can anyone tell me what I am missing?

Jim-

What's the Record Source of the outer form? The subform? How are they
related?

Note that if you change one of the linking field values, the subform rows
will disappear because the cascade update doesn't happen until you save the
change. You'll probably have to do a Requery of the subform after saving
the change in the outer form to see the cascaded updates.

Thank you both for your prompt replies. Things have been
running so smoothly lately that my Access skills are a
little rusty. I forgot that the record has to be saved
before the changes cascade down to the line items. You
solved my problem. Thank you again.
