Case Sensitivity

How do I make a query case sensitive? I have two tables
joined through a text field. I need to have the text
field case sensitive (i.e. distinguish between the
values "AB" and "Ab"). This is very perplexing to me, and
I would appreciate any help.

Thanks in advance,

Curt

By default, Access isn't case sensitive, and making it so will likely be
very slow.

Rather than having

SELECT Table1.Field1, Table1.Field2, Table2.Field1, Table1.Field2
FROM Table1 INNER JOIN Table2
ON Table1.Field3 = Table2.Field3

you'll need to alter the SQL to something like:

SELECT Table1.Field1, Table1.Field2, Table2.Field1, Table1.Field2
FROM Table1 INNER JOIN Table2
ON StrComp([Table1].[Field3], [Table2].[Field3], 0)
