Hi,
how can I create a catalog in Publisher?

I whish to have:
1. a categorised list followed by another list. these lists use data from
the same base but in other ways categorised, e.g. at the beginning a list of
things with their respective owners and others data, about these things and
at the end listing of owners only with simply things data /e.g. thing name /.
2. before these lists should be some written words, these list should be
interrupted with some words /two pages in the middle of publication/ and
followed with some words.

Also combination of data import automation with simple work. The second step
is simple but the first one...

Hi,
I am trying to find answer to my question in the resources recommended.
But, maybe I try to reply my problem with other words:

To avoid misunderstanding I undestand under catalogue (CAtalog) something
more complex, which consists of more than two catalogues as you understand in
publisher (catalog).
1. I know how to create a catalog in publisher, its quite simple.
2. I do not know to create a CAtalog which consits of two separate catalogs.
E.g. first complete catalog followed with second complete catalog in one
publication.
3. I do not wish to build more catalog templates which I must add to
existing publication.
4. I do not know how to create template with more than one catalog merge
areas, but in that way that the template run first the first merge area with
all coresponding data (create corespondig pages) and after that run the
second merge area (create coresponding pages) and so on. I do not wish have
on all pages to have combined more merge areas.

If this is on your pages, I have not found it yet. I am searching.

Andrej, When you finish your first catalog merge and save as a "new publication",
step five in the merge wizard, do your second merge, in step five click add to
existing publication.

Yes, as I said, its quit simple to make a simple catalog, but it is no way to
create a template for complex CATalog?
Described way is simple way how to add an other object, text or
publisher-file into publisher, but ...


Also you say it is no way, simple start publisher /I give all data,
templates/ and produce CATalog /consisting from more Publisher catalog merge
areas/ coresponding to data?
I wish that friend can alone fill all data /text, numbers, links to
pictures, etc./ into Access. I give him the database structure with a
template for Publisher and simply say, it is OK. You can fill the data
through forms into database, than open the template in Publisher and print
CATalog.
I wish to create a database and template and give it to friend which is not
interested in learning publisher or access and how to put data into.

The report possibility in Access, hmmm ...but .. Why not to use a Publisher-
if it is true Office group member.
