"catalog merge"

i have office 2000 professional w/ publisher. want to print a business
directory that would include multiple instances of a field w/ different data
values on the same page (as in excel field name "business name" with "joe's
grill,"sears," and "jiffy lube" values printing on the same page).

online i saw step-by-step instructions on how to do it w/ publisher 2003.
can i do it with 2000?

Catalog merge was a new feature introduced in 2003. There are catalog templates
included with 2000 but the merge feature is not.

Hi, Larry -

My work-around to do this in Publisher 2000 is to set up the merge in Word.
Pull down through all the individual pages in Word to select them all (I
know, probably an easier way to select all - but it is the only thing I use
Word for!) Then paste into Publisher. It works great for data/text but will
not "insert" a graphic or picture connected to a field.
