Categorizing Projects

We have MS Project 2002 Professional Clients and Server Configuration. When the client is opened it automatically logs into the server. When you go to file->open a lists of all projects on the server appears. Is there any may to categorize these projects on the server to be able to seperate them into different directories (folders)? We have different stages that we would like to be able to categorize our projects and the list that appears is growing very large (35) to have users try and sort through. Any help would be appreciated.

Project Server 2003 allows the user to apply grouping in the File - Open
dialog box in Microsoft Project Professional. This allows the user to
separate the projects into categories, based on enterprise project custom
fields. This feature is not available in Project Server 2002.

An alternate approach to accomplish what you wish, however, would be to do
the following:

1. Log into Project Web Access
2. Apply the Project Center page
3. Apply grouping to the projects listed, which will categorize the
projects as you wish
4. Select the project to be opened and click the Open in Microsoft Project
button

Just an idea. Hope this helps.
