Category not transferring in vcard

When I send a vcard to someone and they add that contact on their end, all
the information transfers over except the category. Up until now, I've had
to tell them what category it is and then they have to manually add it in.
Is there a way I can have it transfer over automatically?

Is the category in question part of the Master's Category list?

I don't think Outlook doesn't saves category information with vCards. If the other person has Outlook, you have the alternative option of sending a rich-text format message and inserting the item as an attachment.
