Category vs Global permissions

hello,
What are the foundamental differences (and usages) of Category vs Global
permissions in EPM 2007?

Robert --

Global means what it sounds like. A Global permission gives you a universal
permission to do something, such as to log into Project Server. A Category
permission gives you permission to do things with the only projects and
resources to which you have permission to access, such as viewing projects
in the Project Center, which is defined by the My Projects category. Hope
