Cell Colors

I know I must be overlooking something, but is it possible to create custom colors as fill for cells in a worksheet? How? Thanks.

Well, Yes & No :)

Excel 2008 supports a palette of 40 colors which are used for cell shading,
border color, font color, shape fills & borders, etc. You can't add to the
default palette but you can change what colors it offers.

Go to Excel> Preferences - Color, click Modify.
