cell content overlap option

I have a spreadsheet that's used all over our company. there is an are
for data entry that spans 6 or 7 cells, but they're not 'combined'. i
seems that on some computers when you type into the first cell, it wil
type over the others if the text exceeds the size of the cell. this i
what we want. on others, unfortunately, the text is cut off at the en
of the first cell. Is this an option somewhere within the program
unfortunately, the worksheet is password-locked, and it was given to u
from another office, and we don't have the password, or have a way o
finding it as of now.

is it possible to toggle this 'print-over' option

This isn't an option. If the cell to the right of a cell
is empty, then a cell's text will display over top the cell
(s) to the right. So what's happening on some of your
sheets is that someone has entered something (even a blank
space) into a cell to the right of the cell that holds the
text. Select the cells to the right and press your DELETE
key on your keyboard. This will delete the contents of
the cells and your text will get displayed over those
cells.

Hi
for these cells probably word wrap is enabled ('Format - Cells -
alignment) or the cells to the right contain text.

But if the worksheet is protected you probably can't change the format
of these cells
