Cell Resize

JCO

Okay, this is cool. Now I have a few questions.

The nested cell that has the color change... Is this intended for creating
my side menu or do we create a completely new table below this... to begin
work. Just trying to see if the top section (such as a headers, logos and
stuff should be completely independent or not.

Also, When text is entered into the middle section, as typically done, do I
create another cell in the middle for each block of text (each major
subjects)?

Sorry about the newbie type question?

personally i hate frames, from a user's point of view...I run like hell. from a design standpoint...I don't have the brainspace for them. I also understand search engines have aproblem with them too.

| The major problem with using frames from a user's point of view, is that I
| can not bookmark a specific page or access specific pages directly (like
| coming from a search engine via link like the following), where the site
| navigation is missing.

|
| | me too. i was wondering why jco is using frames at all on that site though.
| at least it looks that way to me.
|
| | | The way I would handle this is to insert a nested table in the left cell
| to
| | contain the navigation

Looks like Thomas has got you goin in the right direction.

Yes you can subdivide the middle cells however you want...just remember DON'T Drag the borders or table won't collapse for you. When you drag the borders the become fixed and whatever res. you are at...well just don't do it it will mess up the collapse-ability.

Your other question will be self evident after you open Thomas's page in your FP.

You might want to try starting with T's cell on a new page and experiment re-building one of your existing pages into it...see how it goes.

have fun..!

The Left and right nested tables can be to handle your navigation or
whatever, and the center nested table for your content., and if you want you
can insert another below the current nested table or nest a table within one
of the current nested tables.

Here is a site, with a structure similar to the example I provided:
