Cell select frozen

Hello,

Strange problem with excel 2002 sp1 on w2k pro. For some reason the PC locks
onto a cell and you cannot scroll , tab or arrow around the spreadsheet to
move to a new cell without clicking onto it.

Tried freeze panes but not that !

Any suggestions really appreciated
