Cell Shading / Font color not working

Hello!

My PC's problems are as follows:

- If you type in a cell and then try to change the color
of the font, it will change...until you click out of that
cell, where it will revert back to black text.

The second problem this machine has is:

- If you are to use the cell-shade (fill-color) tool to
change the background color of a cell, or group of cells,
the background stays white. It does not change colors at
all.

Also, I forgot to include that I have uninstalled /
reinstalled office and the problem pursits.

Hey Frank,

I have also looked into that, high contrast mode
tends to be quite noticable if it is on, making
everything larger, and black background w/white
lettering. I did, however check anyway, and the setting
was not turned on.
