Cell value change/color change

I have spreadsheets autofilled by a financial information vendor program.

Can anyone point me in the right direction how to change the color of a cell
if the content changes, eighter
green for positive chsnge and red for negative change ?

Preferably in two modes: 1) the color remains after the change, or,
2) the color dissapears
after a couple of seconds.

Gratefull for any help.

Try looking under Format, Conditional format... and choose
your format base on the boxes you fill in. Before you do
this highlite the cell(s) you want changed.

You need a macro for this.
