Cells highlighting on their own (Excel 2002 -- SP2)

When trying to cut and paste, the program will sometimes
highlight more cells than I am choosing. This happens
intermittantly. If I logoff Windows (2000 -- SP4) and back
on, it fixes it. None of my keys are stuck.

Has anyone ever seen this?

Do you see EXT in the statusbar when this happens? Maybe you hit F8 in error.

Click on a cell, hit F8 and click on another (or just select another cell with
the keyboard) to see if that was it.
