Cells snapping back to original sizes and places

Newbie

Often when I try to adjust cell sizes and positions within a table, and even
adjust the size of the table itself, the items will snap back to their
original places and sizes. I have triend to move/resize by clicking and
dragging, by typing in new pixel heights and by deleting rows in the tables.
Occasionally my tinkering works, but usually it does not. Please help!

Table / cells (column/rows) will always adjust to fit the largest non-wrappable content inserted.
