Center of Page

How do you find the center line of a page? I am trying to type the title and
other information for my research paper and I cannot find a way to find the
center line of a page (or the middle of the page).

Have you tried using a ruler? A letter-size sheet of paper is 8.5 inches
wide x 11 inches tall, so the exact center is 4.25 inches over from the left
and 5.5 inches down from the top. An A4-size sheet of paper is 210 mm wide x
297 mm tall, so the exact center is 105 mm over from the left and 148.5 mm
down from the top.

If your left and right indents are set up at the left and right margins, and
the margins are equally spaced on each side, all you have to do is to click
the "Center Align" icon on the "Formatting" toolbar and it will align it for
you.

Ctrl+E, the Center button on the Formatting toolbar, or Format | Paragraph:
Alignment: Centered will center text horizontally. If you want to center a
page vertically, you can select this option on the Layout tab of Page Setup,
but note that this will affect the entire document or section. If you want
other text to start at the top of the page, you'll need to insert a section
break. Also note that mathematical vertical centering is rarely optimal.
You'll probably need to add some Spacing After to your last paragraph to get
the ideal optical centering.
