centering text

In the middle of typing a manuscript, I clicked on control e (to center) and
it centered everything I typed thus far. The only way I can fix this is to
click on the "undo" icon, but that's really slowing me down. I went to
"format" and changed the "alignment" to "left" and clicked on OK, but the
next time it happened again. This is also happening to automatic indent
(control m). The only thing new on my computer is that two days ago I had
more memory added, but everything was still fine for two days after that.
Also, while typing this manuscript, it suddenly changed to single space, and
I went to format and changed it back to double space. No problem after that.
I've gone to auto-format but can't find anything there to help. Thanks! Donna

Yes! Yes! Thank you so much. It worked. I had asked everyone else and no one
knew how to do it. Thanks again!

Sorry! It only worked the first time, then it went right back to centering
everything above it. Is there no way to save this when I click on the
"template" box??

Did you check the "Add to template" box as explained in the referenced
article?
