Central Project File

Hello all,

I would like to know if the following is possible: Can a Project file be
created such that each line is a different project not a sub-project? Each
Project in each line would have it's respective schedule on the same line. I
would just need an shape or figure to show a milestone in the straight line.
If need be would it be possible to "expand" that single project to see the
schedule in detail and "collapse" it when I am done? Hopefully I am making
some sense if not please let me know. Again, there is no master project to
which the projects inside of it will fall in. I need a file to track the
projects.
One more thing, while this might substantially complicate things, would it
be possible for one of the projects mentioned above to be inserted to the
master tracker schedule if it is an embedded object in Excel?

Again sorry if used any terminology loosely. Please let me know if you need
any clarification. Thank you for any responses.

Hii,

As fir your first question, that is Standard Project.
Open a file and through Insert, project, insert all the projects.
Make sure all the inserted projects are expanded, select all, right-click,
select task information, click ON "Roll Up Gantt Bar to summary"
Close the projects, select all, right-click, tak information, click on "Hide
Tak Bar"

You can format teh rolled up tasks and milestone : see FAQ31 (URL of FAQS in
my signature)

I don't embed Projects in Excel so I ignore the reply to the second
question, sorry.
