Certain Office icons corrupted - cache repair won't fix

Hi all,

My Mum's PC has suddenly lost all icons for various file types, mainly
involving MS Office 2003.

All the main Office program file icons are now just the standard 'program
file' icon (white rectangle), and all Office documents are the standard
'document' icon (white paper sheet with Windows logo).

For some reason Office won't repair itself, as it can't find PRO11 even if I
insert the setup CD. Add/Remove>Change won't help either.

I have tried *all* the icon repair tips out there, such as registry tweaks,
deleting the icon cache file, Teacup's 'Rebuild', etc.

Any way to fix these icons?

Thanks.

Run an up-to-date virus scan first, the run a repair.
