Or, some people say:
<Ctrl> <`>

Any way, <Ctrl> plus the key to the left of the "1" and "!" key.

That didn't seam to work maby i didn't do it right i am trying to make it so =1+1 will not only display 2 but have 2 as the cell value.

Select the text of the formula within the cell and press F9. Note that this
is a permanent change.

So, your question really is "how do I change formulas to values?"

Hi Gord,

Don't know why I didn't think of that, perhaps it's getting a little too
late for me to be here...

Goodnight.

Nice to see that you're back with your handle.

Anyway ... can't see why you seem "down" or apologetic on the suggestion
that you posted.

It's a *much* easier and faster procedure for a one or two cell convert
(<F2> <F9>), as compared to the "standard" one that Gord mentioned, although
for multiple cells and ranges it definitely isn't.

Hi RD,

Thanks for the welcome, it's good to be back, and seeing so many familiar
names still here!

Agreed for a couple of cells. For more than that, the key sequence by a
typist: Ctrl+c, Alt,e,s,v, is also pretty fast.

Cheers
