change aspect ratio

When I try to print a picture using microsoft, the aspect ratio on the
cropping function defaults to landscape. I can see the landscape and
portrait buttons but am unable to change to portrait. @#$%&.

I've 'used Microsoft' to print something in the past but that was a
live Microsoft employee. <grin>
