change background setting

I am trying to change the background of the web page I am creating. It has a
plain white background and I want to replace it with a picture background.
When I try, I can see the picture in back of the page. I am really new at
this and I appreciate any help I can get.

Is there a problem? "I can see the picture in back of the page" - It sounds
like you have set a picture for the background, as you wanted.
