Change colors of dynamic connectors

Using Visio 2003. My dynamic connectors are light blue. I want them to be
black. How do I change them so black remains as the default? Thanks for
your help.

Is it just one particular diagram, or is it for every new diagram you create?

In the case of an existing diagram, you need to open the document stencil
(File > Shapes > document stencil). This contains the "document master" that
is used for your existing diagram. Find the connector and double click to
edit it. Set it's color to black. Close the window. Say yes to save and
apply. Now, newly added connectors will be black.
