Change colur of single column in chart

C

Chris Watts

In a simple 2D Column Chart (in Excel 2007) how can I select just one column
so as to change its colour leaving the remainder unchanged? Every selection
process that I have tried selects all the columns. I am happy to do this
manually but am happy to do it with vba if necessary.

TIA

Hi Chris,
have a look at http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/index.html, Jon
Peltier has a lot of chart formatting advices on his site.
Hope that helps.

Chris -

In general, a single click on a column will select the entire data series.
(Then a right-click gives you the option to Format Data Series.)

After the entire data series is selected, pause and click a single column to
select a single data point. Then a right-click gives you the option to
Format Data Point.

To make a selection, an alternative is to use the arrow keys to cycle among
the chart objects. With a chart selected, the up & down arrow keys cycle
among the major chart objects (not including individual data points), and
the left & right arrow keys cycle among all chart objects (including
individual data points).
