change complete plan on server with interference on MS Project Web Access

We are doing time tracking with MS Project Web Access
(MSPWA).
For the project managers there is no direct access to the
plan on the server. Small plan changes have been
communicated by excel !
Now it is the case that the underlying plan has to change
heavily. There was the idea to send the new plan to the
operating unit, delete all tasks and copy in all new tasks
from an MSP-file and republish on the server including
MSPWA.
Now it is the case that on the time tracking sheet all
tasks - new and deleted - are appearing.
Question: Is there an easy way to delete all old tasks
from web access as well ?

The simplest way to solve this problem would be to do the following:

1. Save the Microsoft Project plan as an .mpp file
2. Ask your Project Server administrator to delete the project from the
Project Server database
3. Import the .mpp project file into Project Server using Tools -
Enterprise Options - Import Project to Enterprise
4. Publish the project using Collaborate - Publish - All Information

This will eliminate all of the deleted tasks on each user's timesheet and
show only their tasks in the current version of the plan. Hope this helps.
