Change Date Format

How do I change the date format of yyyymmdd so a query will identify weekend
dates as a criteria? Thanks.

If your field is a true DateTime then use ---
Format([YourDateField],"w")
with criteria of 7 or 1 for Saturday and Sunday.

How does a "format" have anything to do with "weekend dates"?
