Change file name font colors in an Explorer directory?

I am working from a large set of files stored in a single folder and cut and
paste information from them into a Master Excel file. I want to change the
color of the file names so I can track which ones I have taken information
from and which ones do not have the info (rather than renaming them).

Is there a way to do this?

This isn't actually an Office question. You may get an answer if you post
in a group related to your operating system.

http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/list/en-us/default.aspx is
a link to an alpha list of groups available on the MS web interface.

Without resorting to 3rd party software, you may compress the file in
NTFS, and the name will be displayed in blue.
