Change fiscal period (how)?

I inherited a database built on a calendar year.
I want to change the beginning of the year to April 1st.
I got some replies on this subject last week but did not save them. (foolish)
Any help would be appreciated.

Did you find my post on 10/12/06?
I searched in all kinds of ways and I could not find it.
It is a shame because two people replied with formulas that I think I can
use today.

hon, i did one search, for any post in English where the author was gemolo
and the date was 10/1/06 or newer - it came right up.
