Change font size on slide number

Is there a way to change the default font size of the slide number? I am
using both PowerPoint 2003 and PowerPoint 2007.

You'll need to do that on the Slide Master.

PowerPoint 2003 users can choose View | Master | Slide Master.

PowerPoint 2007 users can choose the View tab of the Ribbon, and then click
the Slide Master button.
