I am trying to change the font size when composing email
with outlook 2002. When I click, tools, then options,
then select the mail format tab, my font button (under
stationary & fonts) is greyed out. How do I get this
enabled? My message form is already set to HTML.

Uncheck the option to use Word as the email editor. You will again have the
full option of changing the defaults in Outlook.
