change general account to resource

Does someone know a way to change a general EPM account into a resource?

I've tried to rename the general account (and changing it to a project
account) and to create a resource account in the enterprise resource pool,
linked to the same windows account.

But I get errors about duplicate window accounts...

EPM seems to hold information that the original general account was linked
to the same windows account?

Johan:

If an account already exists in your database as a user and not an
Enterprise Resource, then the thing to do is this:

Setup the user with all information in an mpp file ( standard project file
saved to disk)
Click Tools > Enterprise Options > Import Resources to Enterprise
Navigate to the mpp file you created
When the dialog displays allowing you to map the resource to an enterprise
resource, muse the pulldown menu to select this action if the system doesn't
automatically match the two resources
Complete the steps in the Import Wizard and you're done.

I posted an earlier message about this same process. I am doing exactly as
you have described, but when I click to save, I get a message box that says
"Project Server was unable to locate the specified resource. If this
continues, please contact your server administrator". It doesn't save the
resources. I have tried everything and can't figure this out.

Any suggestions?

Your suggestion seems to work, but then another problem acoorus, maybe
someone knows the solution:

The erp is closed, but hen a errormessage shows: server error 56.

We're getting to a point that I'd need to poke around your database.
Sometimes it's possible to correct this directly in the database tables.
More analysis is needed than can be easily performed through a news group.
