Change height of a vertical cross-function band?

Is it possible to change the height of a vertical cross-function band? I am
using both horizontal bands and vertical ones, but I can't figure out how to
make the vertical bands long enough to encompass all the horizontal ones I'm
using.

I tried to use the size and position window to change the height. It allows
me to type the height in, but then overwrites it and changes it back to the
original height again.

Open the ShapeSheet for the vertical band (Window > Show ShapeSheet)

You should see a cell called User.BHeight.

You can change it's value to "8in" or something.

Also, go to Format > Protection and unlock X, Y position so you can move the
thing around.

The smart-functionality seems to be lost on the vertical bands, though. Ie:
your shapes only behave on either the horizontal or vertical bands.
Hopefully this is ok.

already unlocked)
