Change Licensed Owner

Hello All:

If you install office 2000 under one users name and then need to change it,
how can you accomplish this without a reinstall.

I thought I read somewhere that it's a registry hack but can't find it. We
have a pc with word installed under one user's name, they left and now all
documents created by the new user of the PC comes up with the old user's
information.

Thanks in advance
DJ

Hi D.J.,

If you only need to change the users name, not the company then
you can use Tools=>Options=>User Info in Word, although you may
find you also need to revise .DOT template files that have picked
up the name.
