Change local address so different from publish to site?

Re-designing an existing site. Pulled files from web no problem, edited,
deleted, ready to publish. Getting the message that the local & remote have
same address & cannot send. How do I change the local, and why did it assume
the remote's name?? Need to keep the remote same as previous.

Whatever site you open first in FP is considered the Local site
Whatever site you publish to is considered the Remote site
They can never be the same
- change the remote site using Remote Web Site View - Remote Web Site Properties
