How do I change the margine in Word?

Hi, Patricia,

You change the margins in the File > Page Setup dialog. If you need an
explanation of what the boxes represent, press F1.

However, what you probably want to change is really the paragraph indents
(left and right). Note that while margins must be the same throughout an
entire section, each paragraph can have different indents if necessary. You
can change the indents of the selected paragraph(s) by dragging the markers
on the horizontal ruler, or by going to Format > Paragraph. For a document
that will be edited a lot, though, it's much better to make or modify a
paragraph style, set the indents in the style, and then apply the style
wherever different indents are needed. That way, if you decide you want
larger or smaller indents, you just have to change the style definition, and
all the paragraphs in that style will change at once.
