Change of authentication

We are using Project Server 2002 in Mixed Mode. The domain server has
crashed. Will changing the authentication to Project Server only have any
effects on the login of users? Most of the users are using Project Server
Authentication.
If we install a new installation of the domain server will it cause any
problem on the existing Windows OLAP & STS domain users accounts? Pls advice.
